REVIEW USMeet Sarah Garcia
Sarah joined ASAP in 2026 as a National Family & Patient Advocate, bringing a deeply personal perspective and unwavering commitment to the bleeding disorders community. As a woman living with hemophilia and a mother of children also affected by bleeding disorders, Sarah understands firsthand the challenges families face in accessing knowledgeable, compassionate, and timely care.
For many years, Sarah experienced what too many women with bleeding disorders have endured—having their symptoms overlooked or dismissed. Those experiences ignited her passion for ensuring that women and girls with bleeding disorders are recognized, heard, and receive the specialized care they deserve.
Sarah is dedicated to empowering patients and families through education, advocacy, and support. She works closely with women throughout the community, helping them navigate the healthcare system, advocate for themselves, and connect with the resources needed to improve their quality of life. Her authentic compassion, resilience, and lived experience make her a trusted advocate for families across the country.
At ASAP, Sarah is proud to stand beside patients every step of their journey, helping ensure that every individual—especially women living with bleeding disorders—has a voice, access to quality specialized healthcare, and the confidence to advocate for the care they deserve.
